AUTHOR’S BIOGRAPHICAL NOTES
Valentina Cirasola is a native of Bari, the main city of Puglia – Italy. As all the Italians she has a passion for fast cars, fast-thinking, quick actions, snappy temper, likes hot and vivid colors, but she loves, loves, loves slow food. She is a trained and award-winning designer of interiors and fashion. She has been in business since 1990.

Born in a family of artists, style surrounded her since the beginning of her life and determined her career. She loves to remodel homes creating the unusual as well as styling personal image.

Often people describe Valentina as “The Colorist” – she loves to color her clients’ world. Vogue Italia magazine and many prominent publications in California featured Valentina’s work.
She was awarded for her participation in the design concept for San Jose Little Italy Arch, unveiled March 2015. http://www.littleitalysj.com/archway.html

She has filmed her own design show “Dreaming California” for Sitcom T.V. in Italy, in which she was the host and the featured designer for the homes she designed in California.
She also appeared on RAI-Italian National TV, in the program “Cara Francesca” but many more TV appearances happened on local California T.V. Comcast Channel 15 and for three years she has conducted her show on BlogTalkRadio called: Valentina Design Universe. Under the same label, she is now producing her own TV Show at a KMVT15 airing in San Francisco, Bay Area and online on BeLiveTV.

Valentina is the author of six books. they are three books on the subject of colors:
“RED – A Voyage Into Colors (First and Second Edition)”, “Design Nature For A Colorful Home” and a travel narrative “The Road To Top Of The World”, Her books are very colorful, full of pictures Valentina takes herself. In addition, she wrote three cookery books on Puglia food, her native region. They are:
“Come Mia Nonna” – “Sins Of A Queen” and “Naked Lemons”.
The next book on fashion is in the making and will be published very soon.

When Valentina Cirasola is not working with clients, she can be found at the Opera, Ballet and Art Galleries, in her garden growing organic food, taking photos of anything she finds attractive, creating stylish fashion, speaking in public, teaching classes, and trotting the world. As a cultural promoter, she exposes her travel guests to wine tasting, food, shopping the Italian style, admiring art and architecture, basically living it up in her homeland Puglia for 12 days.

Sunnyvale, CA – January 7, 2011 – Valentina Cirasola owner and principal designer of design company Valentina Interiors & Designs, today announced the signing of her second book, ©Sins Of A Queen, marking the continuation of the making of Valentina’s book collection on various subjects.
The book title: ©Sins Of A Queen is about the culture of food in South Italy, in the region of Puglia where the author was born and raised. It is a hymn to her Italian land, to her origins, to stories of the past, anecdotes, and talks of traditions. The cultural cookbook is filled with her hand drawings of some of the specialties and plenty of photos. This second book will uncover how to prepare desserts with fruit in a healthy way and how to turn appetizers into meal size dishes to keep the readers young and fit while eating well.
Cooking is Valentina’s passion. She has a high knowledge of food and many decades of experience in cooking, thus she thought of a fun title for this second book to show that it is not necessary to be a chef to cook good food and know how to prepare and serve them with fun.

CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD AT THE AINSLEY HOUSE – SATURDAY NOV. 20, 2010

This year’s theme decided by the House’s curator is Christmas Around The World.
Ms. Cirasola chose to decorate the guest bedroom and attached boudoir. Her theme will be Christmas in Amalfi.
Days to decorate will be Saturday, Nov.13th through Wednesday, Nov. 17th.

Christmas Around The World will open to the public on Saturday, Nov. 20th and closes on Sunday, Dec. 19th.

ITALIAN LIFE IN STYLE EVENT TO BE HELD ON OCTOBER 13 AT FRETTE STORE
